Business Law
Representing Southern California BusinessesAn important part of my practice involves representing Southern California business clients. I manage to settle the majority of business disputes I undertake. However, as a trial lawyer, I do not hesitate to take a case to court when favorable settlement is not possible. I often handle litigation for breach of contract and business fraud. Contact my office if you need help with legal issues regarding your business. Protecting the Interests of Your Business No business can afford having its customers take advantage of it. The law exists to keep that from happening. When I represent construction, real estate and other types of companies in business disputes against their customers, I help them recover fair compensation for the work they have done and the services they have provided. Legal issues for business disputes, however, go far beyond disputes with customers. As an attorney, I often see very complex cases involving disagreements between business owners. Here are some examples of these complex cases: -
Partnership disputes, where a partner is doing work outside the business, involving income that is never seen by the company -
Arm's length transactions, which are conducted as though the parties were unrelated, thus avoiding conflict-of-interest charges. For example, parents may rent real estate to their children and still claim business deductions (such as depreciation) as long as the parents charge their children what they would charge if someone who is not a relative were renting the same property. -
